NHS gestational diabetes consultation appointment
Hello,
Can someone please tell me how long it normally takes the first appointment for consultation on gestational diabetes? And what to expect. Is it really a group appointment? Thank you 😊

@Jess same for us! Basically in a classroom style setting and the dietician gave us a talk and demo on how to use the kits
Mine was on my own - was told I'd failed the glucose tolerance test and an appointment was made for the following week to speak to diabetic midwife, collect my kit and speak dietician

I had a group appointment to be told all about GD, spoken to by a dietician on what to eat/not to eat, given the blood glucose level monitoring kit and explained how to use it and had bloods taken - 2 hours total. I assume all areas are different though!
