feeding

Hi all, i’m a first time mum to be and i’m really stuck on what to do with my baby when they are here. I am wanting to combi feed but can’t find much information on it and the information i am getting is not very helpful and quite frankly frustrating. so any mums who combi feed right from the start can you share some tips.

Hi my little girl is 2 days old and I have been mixing breastmilk and formula as she is a very hungry baby I am currently using an ounce of formula and an ounce of milk which she guzzles down then I am breastfeeding throughout the day

I give her 2 oz bottles of both breastmilk and formula. I try to do breastmilk during the day and formula at night time feeding, she’s a week old now

My baby girl is 9.5 months now. We bf for the first 5 months and now combi feed. We are currently feeding 2-3 bottles a day (as recommended on the formula we use) and she is breastfeeding if she wakes through the night. It’s what worked best for us and seems to be going well. You’ll find your way and what baby likes and doesn’t. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Good luck Mumma xx

@Lauren thank you hoping i will just figure it out with time just wanted a bit of information on it as u don’t hear many people talking about it xx

You will! You will get there eventually and find your own rhythm and what works for you. Completely agree, most info tends to be one way or the other. Thankfully our health visitor is really supportive and helped us with our feeding journey and helped me feel calm and positive xx
