If you’re losing more fluids from your period that may have played a role as well. Personally I don’t track calories but I do workout pretty hard and have been consistently losing weight and it hasn’t affected my supply. I did drop when I started pumping less, I pump 5 times a day and make about 55-60 oz and when I pumped 6x/day I made about 60-70 oz. But my workouts have been the same and I eat a lot sometimes, sometimes a little and that usually hasn’t affected it. But everyone is different too.
I never did. I think it might just depend
My LC said don’t go under 1800 Haven’t experimented yet to see what sustainable deficit I can do but just a FYI
What is a calorie deficit ?
@Mitra a negative. You're taking in less calories than you should be
@Mitra everybody’s body burns a certain amount of calories on average every day (you can google TDEE to calculate yours). Eating that amount of calories is considered “maintenance” and anything below that amount is considered a deficit. Eating in a calorie deficit helps support fat loss, which is my goal right now :)
@Amaya did it ever rebound or did you end up sticking with formula?
@Nicole I’m just above 2000 right now so maybe I’ll start w 1800 and see 🤔 thanks for the feedback!
@Mariah no it hasn’t rebounded. I just actually talked to my doula about it, and obviously she said I’m just gonna have to increase feeds and hopefully that will help the supply increase since it’s supply and demand.
Yes my supply dropped about 10 ounces. When i was eating in a surplus i had up to 50oz a day and now at most i’m having 40oz
I heard of power pumping the other day, it’s supposed to simulate a growth spurt and help with increasing milk supply 🤷♀️ probably worth a try …
Yes I did experience a dip. I had to supplement with formula
