Consumables are a great gift! Gift cards, chocolates, some even gift us wine 😂 I also personally keep child made cards for a year.

As a former daycare teacher, please no chocolate or alcohol! I’d get way more chocolate than I could possibly ever eat and end up giving lots of it away. A lot of my coworkers didn’t drink alcohol so they ended up giving theirs away. Plus you never know if the person you’re gifting alcohol to has had alcohol struggles you wouldn’t want to unknowingly tempt. I got cute Christmas socks one year and I wear them every holiday season. I got a winners gift card one year and loved that! Coffee gift cards are always appreciated. I’ve gotten Browns, Catcus Club, and White Spot gift cards. Those were awesome for dates during winter break while I had time off but money was tight due to the time off.
I get weary of gift cards and if the funds will be on there. So, last Christmas I bought gift sets from Walmart of Glysomed hand, foot creams and lip balm. That was appreciated by staff from the comments I got plus a little sparkly trinket with Walmart gift receipts provided in case they wanted something else.

I just have 1 daycare lady but I made her up a mini gift basket with a few consumables like cheeses crackers jam, maybe there were a few chocolates, and a gift card. I prefer to give people consumable things so they wont end up with another _____ that they have to store in their house. And I think gift cards are great because they can pick something they definitely want/need

Former daycare assistant and teacher. Coffee cards always appreciated!! Cute pens or srunchies is always nice, especially if you notice staff have their hair up a lot. No mugs! I love mugs but you only have space for so many.
