Gift Ideas!

I need gift ideas for a 2 year old boy! He's in my daughters daycare and we have been invited to his birthday party this weekend and I have no idea what to get him! Because we don't really know them I'd like to not spend so much but would still like to get something he'd enjoy. Any ideas are helpful!

Id ask his mom what hes into or what he would want

I always ask the parents what the child likes so I get something they'd use/appreciate, and always include a gift receipt in case they already have it. When in doubt, experiences like tickets to a kid friendly show or museum passes are always a great idea.

I would ask the parents but I don't know them, literally never met before. And I feel a little awkward texting to ask lol but I mean I could.

@Taylor in that case I would text them saying something like "Hey I'm Taylor, I'm XXX's mom. XXX was invited to YYY's birthday party and I was wondering what kind of toys or books he likes? I'm looking forward to meeting you at the party :) "

The first text/call is always going to be awkward but it is gonna help you with getting him a present

I wish I asked when I texted to RSVP lol but I'm going to do it anyways! Thanks ladies.

Cars, hot wheels, Duplo, planes, paint sticks,

I second duplo! Also magnetic tiles. My son is 2 and we play with both all day

Update! So I texted the mom and asked, all she said was he likes cars and superheros. Any ideas on gifts that include those?

@Taylor I'm personally really strict with age limits on toys due to choking hazards, so I would avoid hot wheels for 2 year olds as they are most often 3 or 4 plus but there are lots of car toys suitable for 2 year olds. I just bought this cars and trucks book for a 2 year old and he went nuts for it he loved it: First 100 Trucks and Things That Go Lift-the-Flap: Over 50 Fun Flaps to Lift and Learn https://a.co/d/6xcdpms

Fisher Price Little People usually have great cars! I recently got a set of them at Costco that was all super hero themed which my little guy was obsessed with. Could try there
