Toy or activity recommendations

My November baby seems to have out grown all of her toys and doesn’t seem to play with anything other than her doll and teddies. What toys do your little ones like at this age or activities that keep them occupied when at home on rainy days?

My daughter mainly plays with role play type things at the moment (play kitchen, tea and cake set, ice cream shop and pretends to feed her stuffed toys and dolls), also enjoys puzzles and books with music! Most of her other toys she doesn’t play with for as long if they are not open ended! We also got given a mini trampette which she likes and I bought some stepping stones which she plays with in lots of different ways!

His favourites are his play kitchen, Duplo, puzzles and sticker books

My little boy also loves his toy kitchen and his tea set. He’s obsessed with pouring us tea and shouting “hot!” and blowing it for us 🤣 He’s also absolutely obsessed with his toy animals and Little People sets. We have the house, farm, airport and garage, and he’ll play for ages with each one. As well keeping him occupied to play, it’s also massively helped with his language and understanding. I definitely recommend them. Not really a toy but he’s also obsessed with books, I have a load of books that he can easily access and he brings one over to me constantly to read, or he’s started “reading” (aka talking gibberish while pointing at the pictures hahaha) them to his toys. When he’s not playing with toys he loves climbing (the sofa, stairs, the dining room table 🤣) which of course isn’t safe, so for his bday we’ve bought him a climbing set and a wooden beam/stepping stone set so he can move around to his hearts content 🤣

Following as we seem to be in the same situation and the activities we tend to go for are mostly drawing/stickers.

My LG is loving push, pull, slide, lift the flap and noisy books. She also loves puzzles anything she has to work out to do, stickle bricks and duplo she also loves role play type things little people, happy land sets. At groups and nursery she plays with dolls and kitchens (these are our Christmas and birthday gifts) loves crafts to. I do find if she has everything available she won’t play for very long so I try and swap out and alternate the bigger sets

An empty cardboard box big enough to sit in and some crayons will keep my nearly 2 year old occupied for a good 20-30mins. Cut a few holes in it to roll a few balls or cars through and shes happy out.

We mostly play with duplo. She doesn't seem interested in any of her other toys except her stuffed animals so I'm also a bit clueless what to get her. And whether I should get rid of her old ones? We've gone a bit insane buying second hand duplo 😅 otherwise what we usually do is go for walks and we have some pretend games we do just using the playground or sticks and things. Stickers, play-do, drawing and reading are all good activities too but don't take her interest as much as duplo and being outside.

My little girl loves the peekabo animal houses i got them from amazon, she likes colouring too and loves her new doll feeds her for 2 hrs straight lol Also plays in the ball pitt its her favourite shes had it since she was 7 months
