I have this in this pregnancy, didn’t in my last. I completely panicked at first but I found a support group on Facebook that really helped! Also I thought because I had it that something would 100% be wrong but that’s not the case. It’s just a risk factor not a diagnosis so it may affect you but it also may not. It’s not something we can actually change so I’m just taking my asprin and dealing with what comes. I did buy the dip sticks to check for protein in your pee and also going to get a blood pressure monitor for at home so I can check these things between appointments x

I also have this in this pregnancy, I’m just taking 150mg of Aspirin before bed every night and taking it easy. I have my anatomy scan next week and they will be doing a scan on the placenta to check the blood flow and check everything. I will be having growth scans throughout the pregnancy especially in the third trimester (they were booked as soon as the result came through). I was told there’s nothing you can do, it doesn’t really mean anything other than baby may be a little smaller hence the growth scans but not to worry at all as everything is monitored xx

Yep, I’m pregnant with my first and got told following my 12 week scan that I have low Papp-a. Currently taking 150mg aspirin and I’ve received hospital appointment letters for growth scans once a month starting from 28 weeks. When I saw the consultant she said it’s very common and the reason for the aspirin is just as a precaution as many women with low papp-a have babies of a perfect weight. So the aspirin is just precautionary to help thin your blood flow to the placenta. I had my 20 week scan last week and to start off with they used the ultrasound machine and Doppler to check my arteries to see the blood flow to placenta, everything was fine and blood was flowing good so they’ve cancelled me 28 week growth scan but I’ll have one at 32 weeks instead.

I’ve also been told I have this, didn’t in my first pregnancy so was also worried. As Samantha mentioned, I joined a fb group which has been really useful. I did worry initially when I was told but I’m now just trying to not focus on it as much and just take aspirin and see what happens at the growth scans. I’ve not been told I need to see the consultant but they have booked in my growth scans from 28 weeks. I had a private scan at 16 weeks and all measurements look fine then so will see what they say at my 20 week scan next week!x

Thank you so much all xx
