Just wondered when others feel most comfortable announcing a pregnancy? This is my second baby. With my first we waited until the dating scan to tell our immediate families and were hoping to do the same this time. We like the idea of keeping the news just for us for a short while. But we have family members trying to book holidays away together next year and it's becoming increasingly awkward navigating these conversations. We do want to go away with them but obviously certain dates, locations etc make it difficult. Historically, my MIL shared our pregnancy news wider than we wanted which is probably where the reluctance to share comes in!

We told all close friends and family at 6 weeks 🙊 people who we wanted to be involved regardless of the situation xx

How far away are you from 12 weeks or dating scan? Can you tell 1 person who’s doing the organizing who you trust to keep it down low? that way they can help navigate the conversations. We told our parents around 6 weeks when we found out but planning to tell everyone else after the first scan as well

Not too far off tbh - the dating scan is 3rd October and we are seeing family in person the following week so were thinking that's when we'd share the news. The holiday would ideally be booked by the end of this month so I'm thinking telling the key organiser might be a good shout, thank you. Thanks both - I don't think there's a right or wrong way. We're just quite a private couple and like it being just us at the moment x

We shared our first pregnancy with the families at 6 months :) I was barely showing! Now at 12 weeks I look 5 months pregnant (in comparison to previous pregnancy) so it'll have to be soon haha I will personally wait for the 20 week scan, or maybe even 26 weeks when there's very little chance of things going wrong.

Immediate family and friends were told soon as l found out I’m pregnant with all my pregnancies. This one I’m a bit wary of who I’m telling because we had a few scares to start with, but I’m showing so l can’t hide it anymore. But I think after 12 week scan I’ll shall let the cat outta the bag
