Is anyone else struggling rn with brushing???? I need tips

I’ve tried almost everything singing a song introducing it during play or bath time yes he’ll chew on it but that’s it he’ll get his bottom teeth but that’s it. I then have to intervene and forcibly brush them because he’ll fight tooth and nail. Literally… I don’t want a negative correlation with brushing but looking at his teeth… I’m like honey you’ll lose teeth it’s hard and frustrating.

We got a electric brush yes it made a difference but I can’t get her too stay for 2 minutes her dentist said it’s fine because they do a fluoride every 6 months but idk I still think it’s the thought that counts he will let you eventually

Get a toothbrush that has lights! My babe is usually distracted by it and then when it stops I'm like yay you're done! Good job! And try to cheer lots so she'll want to do it again next time. I also sing a song I made up about brushing at the same time lol.

You may have tried this but I found doing a big celebration after the tooth brushing made a huge difference! We’d clap our hands and say yaaaaay! well done! After we’d brushed his teeth and now he opens his mouth willingly and lets me brush away.

We brush our teeth to the Blippi teethbrushing song at the moment, which seems to be working. It used to be the Ms Rachel song, but he's gone off her now.

I actually bought a little dentist role play toy to help my LG be more interested in brushing her teeth. It doubles up as an activity because I stick playdoh to the teeth and she has to ‘clean the dirty teeth’ with all the little plastic tools, but then also helped her realise that she needed to brush her teeth well. We do ‘ahhh’ for open wide like a crocodile and ‘cheeeeese’ to do front teeth x
