Teething? Any tips.

My LO has been super grumpy for the past few days and has been having crying crisis as if he’s in incontrollable pain. He’s got teething signs and has episodic diarrhea. In give him calpol and nurofen and switch. When he’s in crying / pain crisis that come and go what do you do? There is nothing I can do that will calm him and I can’t bear seeing him like this. Any suggestions of things that have worked / are working for you? 🙏

Anbesol gel!!! It’s the only thing that’s helped us with teething. However you can’t use it in young babies, my sons 13 months x

We've found the Ashton and Parsons teething gel works pretty well 🙂

Bonjela and teething powder work best for us x

Dr. Talbots soothing tablets, gripe water, popsicles, teething tubes, and lots hugs.

Anbesol liquid has helped our son a lot with teething pain. Then lots of teething toys, ice lollies (usually just water or mix of pureed fruit and water), if you use a dummy let them have it when they seem upset, change the food to be softer if they arent eating well, crisps that "itch" their gums but go soft are also good e.g. breadsticks. The diarrhea is most likely due to excess saliva production, so may need to modify diet a tad while they are in full slobber mode. Try to choose less acidic foods where possible (saliva is acidic) to help settle their stomach/intestines and slow things down a bit. Xx
