IUD (kyleena) question.

I got my iud inserted last Monday. I had started my period the same day. After insertion I stopped bleeding. Last night (Saturday) I had unprotected sex, he did not pull out. Google says: the device is effective immediately if you have it inserted within seven days of the start of your period. But mine stopped. Do I need to worry and take a plan B or am I fine? I can’t have another kid rn.

It’s been less than a week since insertion and period randomly dropped after one day, I’m not sure if I am protected or not.

I have the same iud. If I was you, I would take a plan b.. just because I’m scared. But I was told as well it works asap

i did the same 3 days after getting it at 6 weeks pp and im good!

Everyone I’ve talked to said they didn’t have a period at all with their (hormonal) IUD so it may just be that the birth control is why it stopped 💗 I didn’t have a period at all when I had nexplanon (the arm implant) 🥰 hope this helps 💗💗

I have the Mirena one... I have a case of a missing period atm... though I heard the kyleena makes you bleed more due to the copper wrapped around them... my oldest sister has the kyleena due to her pcos

@Alysha Kyleena is hormonal not copper; the copper one is Paragard! But yes the copper most definitely can make you bleed more

Thank you all :)
