Baby Activities

My LG is 9 weeks old and I’m struggling to find things to do with her. We do tummy time, we have little chats/sing songs and go to a few baby classes through the week but I find myself just sitting around with her not knowing what to do. We have some toys but she isn’t really interested in them yet. She doesn’t sleep loads in the day anymore and I feel awful not doing more with her. Not sure how much more I can do but if anyone has anything please let me know 🫶🏻

I got a sensory box from amazon, she isn't really interested in the toys but loves lying on the silver foil blanket and making it crinkle. Also sensory rooms at kids play centres like head over heels, they don't charge for babies and it's like £5 per adult, she loves sitting and looking at all the lights. If the weather's nice we go to the park and lie on the grass, so she can feel the different textures of the grass and leaves, and she watches the trees moving. Most of the time, she falls asleep after about 20 mins but it's a nice change of scenery for me 😂

Read stories, Going for walks every day, sensory toys/cards, lay her infront of a mirror x

Read stories even if it seems she isn’t listening she will be taking it all in. Try and engage different senses. Put her feet into a small tray of water/jelly/sand. Rattles. My little girl would love me holding things above her head and following them as I moved it slowly. Singing songs is a really good one. Light projectors onto the ceiling/lava lamps. When it comes to toys she’s still at an age where she is reliant on you playing with her. You can get sensory cards from tiktok shop for cheap that have different textures for her to feel. Take her out for a walk so she can see and hear different things. Even if you pop to the coffee shop the smells there will be a new sensory for her. Could do some hand/foot print cards for you to keep or to gift to family

Depends how you feel on screen time but my daughter used to enjoy dancing fruit on YouTube when she was a little bit older

My boy loves having plastic bags shaken over him lol
