Single working mums, how are you doing it?
Hey! I’ve got a 3 year old and I’ve just split up with his dad. How do you cope financially?? His dad will probably move back to England and I doubt he’ll be giving me any sort of child maintenance. I’m a social worker so on okay money, just worried about the logistics of nursery payments and everything else.

Some countries have reciprocal agreements so he might still be liable for child support. Your childcare subsidy will increase if you're a single parent so it won't be as expensive. I make it work on just over $70k, no partner cos I had a donor baby. It's made easier by having a housemate who is also a single mum - it's not childcare that hurts, it's rent.
