Message after giving birth for family and friends

How did you politely say that you don't want visitors straight away?

“Hi! We wanted to introduce you to X! We’re doing great and we can’t wait to see you after X weeks once mommy and baby have healed up and developed a bit of an immune system. Here’s some photos (if you want) to keep you updated on what we’ve been up to!”

I made a group chat with both sets of parents in for the progress of birth then just politely said will let you all know when we’re ready for visitors

I had visitors at the hospital ( mums and dads) and said none at home for two weeks but happy to do video calls. Personally I found that the best way to deal with it - they had seen baby but only for short visit when born and then we had time to settle at home

Be direct and straight forward! It's your baby your rules and protecting them is your #1. Don't worry about offending anyone over what's most important Ppl will think what they want regardless what you say or do. You got this mama 💪🏾🫶🏾

@Em this is what I want to do allow visitors at the hospital only and then have two weeks to recover

I found most people respected that with lots of pictures and even a couple video calls
