Passport

Has anyone applied for their little ones passport yet? If so, how long did it take to come back? (Normal application, not the fast track one) Applied and sent everything off today, hoping to go away mid/end of October.

For me it took 3 months and a half. I had to contact them multiple times and in the end they responded and gave me the passport

Did you do it online? I’m doing it tomorrow as we’ve decided we would also like to go away nearer the end of October 😅 hoping it comes through quickly. Also sorry if anyone knows going to Spain how long do you need on your passport I know the rules for EU have changed so was wondering if anyone knows if it’s more than 3 months?

We did it online and it came within two weeks

British was 2-3 weeks. The Irish one I am still waiting. We applied at the start of August.

@Sibs I believe it’s still 6 months of valid passport required

@Sibs I think it’s 3 months from the date your passport was issued. So if the issue date was in June and your expiry is in September. I think your passport expires in March. Not sure when the visas are needed as well.

@Sibs yes did it online today! Process itself was quick and easy… trying to take a photo of my little girl was not 🤣🤣 got there in the end though. Just had to give an email address of someone that they then send an email to which is to verify little ones identity and then post off birth certificate xx

@Lesley oh fab thank you. Mine expires July 2025 so weren’t sure if I should do mine aswell but will do it after.

@Sarah haha this is why I’ve put it off taking a photo is hardwork as it is let alone for a passport. This is my task for tomorrow 😅
