advent calendar ideas

sorry to mention christmas at this time but my mum asked if she could get my little one an advent calendar and i said no as she’ll just be starting to wean come december and ideally i’d like her not to have any chocolate until she’s 1, looking for alternative advent calendar ideas though ive seen a books one but i’ve asked everyone to get her books for christmas presents as she’s got way too many toys already at 15 weeks old🤣 ik you can get advent calendars you can fill yourself but wouldn’t know what to put in them any ideas would be appreciated she’ll be 6 months on the 6th of december 😊

Maybe your mum can get advent calendar for you instead of baby 🤔😁

@Santa she best do 😂😂

We're wrapping up 24 little presents for my 2yo to open for baby, things like balls, teethers, books etc and also some food bits suitable for 6months. We're cheating and using things we already own though 😂

Home bargains have huge advent calendars with massive pockets in at the moment. I've got her one we can reuse each year and either wrap tiny gifts or small packets of sweets or whatever. I'm hoping it will last her forever really as we can mix up what we pop in it. We will be putting weaning stuff in, like dead basic baby food, spoons, maybe some silly Christmas hats or socks, some small toys and a couple of books e.c.t maybe she could get her a really nice reusable one from Etsy or something? You could also do like an activity one, where you write fun things to do on paper and do an activity each day of December. Make it into a new family tradition. I am thinking age appropriate things like, pop to pets at home to see the fish, or go visit grandma, or babies first trip to the beach or whatever is local to you.

I make advent calendars for my friends kids every year, last year her son had just turned 2, but I filled it with the snacks from the baby aisle. So like the kiddylicious ones, veggies straws, wafer things, they loved it
