Nappies…

Anyone else’s little still in nappies during the day? We’ve mastered for a little while doing wees in a potty/toilet if we’re round the house as long as there is nothing on her bottoms. But she’s just not ready for the next step. The minute I put pants or shorts on her she’ll wee in them. And haven’t cracked poos at all either in the nappy or on the floor 😫. I’m trying to ensure it’s a positive experience for her but I am starting to worry a bit…

How many days have it been? The secret is to not give up. Keep the nappies for the night alone. If you keep putting the nappy on when she needs to poo she'll get used to it and will not do it. Keep 4 days to just stay at home and do it. If when you go out you put the nappy back on (for the car or else) you are undoing your good work. Good luck!

Mine is still completely in nappies 😩

Agree with Alessia. Mine refused to poo in anything but a pullup for almost a year. People kept tell me to completely stop the pullups so in the end I did. I told him we've run out and only have enuf for bedtime. First 2 days he held it until bedtime! But the third day he pleaded and pleaded but cos he believed we ran out of pullups (I literally had to hide them cos he was getting them out his self) he just went and sat on the potty and did it. I took a whole week off work and didn't take him anywhere far so he cud go out with pants on and took spare clothes. He'd still ask for a pullup a few days after but I stuck to my guns so he had no choice but to use the potty. We're now 1 month of pullups only at bedtime and we've not had any accidents. I make sure I take him to the toilet/potty before getting in the car and b4 naps. And ask him if he needs to go when I feel its been a while, esp if he's had a lot to drink or distracted with playing.

I have bought used book "oooh crap potty training" and the advices there are great, it is a life saver xx
