Refusing to go toilet

I've been trying to potty train my girl without much luck but she is now refusing to go toilet at all. She is having tantrums saying 'no I don't want to potty train' so it's become a fight to put her on the toilet. And I feel that I should not be forcing her? But at the same time she's a big / tall 3 year old, it's getting increasingly difficult to change her nappies. She also goes to nursery 3 mornings a week, they're trying too, but she also refuses there.

She's clearly not ready. The more you force her the more she will refuse and think it's a "bad" thing to be potty trained. If you keep forcing her she might eventually start doing however she'll probably wet herself often, wet the bed... There's nothing wrong with the age, some kids potty train later than others. For the nappy try changing them with her standing and she will not be passive in the mat. Good luck!

As above the more you try and force it the harder it will be. Leave it and try again in a couple more weeks. You'll be surprised how much can change in that time

Thanks ladies I've left it.will tell nursery to give her break too and try again when she's seems more ready! It's so annoying though when people keep asking isn't she toilet trained yet? I've got one relative that I see regularly and she asks me everyyyytime 😡. Like why do you even want to know my kids toilet habits? Wtf 😬

I’m sure you’ve tried it, but get some books about potty training. Try and make the experience of getting them fun. Take her out to choose some special new big girl pants. Get some stickers for a special sticker chart. All little subtle motivators without forcing.
