Ok so… I wouldn’t say I have a lot of money but I definitely don’t have enough to last me pay check to paycheck…. I recently got onto Vinted but only a small amount of my items have sold so far (I did only set it up yesterday so I’m not surprised). my LG is only 3 and 1/2 months old and I’m breastfeeding only So I can’t let someone look after her while I go and do a few hours, I’m on Maternity leave until the end of march 2025! (Babies dad doesn’t have a job and can’t be arsed to get one either. Don’t come at me for saying that because he’s literally told me to my face he can’t be arsed. I’m essentially a single parent too as he does nothing 🥲 not even nappy changes or getting her dressed.) . Does anyone have any tips on saving money better or making more money other than Vinted?

Leave your partner, he’s only dragging you down more, does he sponge off you to? If he can’t stand up and help his “family” then what is even the point of him being around, he will not step up until you make him or leave him

Do you claim universal credit? I’m not sure there is much you can do from home with a small baby. I think you have an issue with your partner though if you are trying to support your family on SMP.

@Daneisha I’ve been trying to leave him. He knows I’m loosing feelings and I don’t wanna be with him anymore as it’s not making me happy and only causing me stress….. I am breast feeding too so stress won’t help my milk supply

@Sarah my partner claims universal credits and he gets extra money for baby and I see none of it 🤗 I had to secretly claim UC myself cause he doesn’t help AT ALL

Why does he claim for your baby if you’re the main carer? You need to be careful claiming UC as a single person. The risk of getting caught is not worth it.

@Adele I have no idea. And we aren’t under the same address, I don’t live with him I live at my parents. I told him not to claim the money for baby as I knew he wouldn’t give me any of it.

Tip: get rid of the waste of space grown man who is only an extra mouth to feed. Your food costs will be halved!
