How have you/will you be approaching potty training

My 2 year old showed no signs but i bought a little potty anyway and keep it in the corner of the living room as it is clean and has never been used. As she took interest in it, I talked to her about what it is and what it is for and now after a few weeks of it sitting around she is talking to me about doing a wee wee in her potty and she tells me that it's for poo poos and asks for me to take her nappy off so she can 'try it' and about an hour ago she tried her hardest as i was getting her ready for bed and she did a small wee on it for the first time🎉😅 How to I continue with her progress whilst it's going well and she's interested and grasping it?! Do you let them bop around with no nappy on all day whilst at home or do you go through undressing and taking nappy off etc every half hour until she starts letting me know when she needs to go? I will be working on her using it just in the day time for now and normal nappies at night but this is a first for me so any advice appreciated🙂 Also she has just started nursery so how does that work whilst she is there? Will they assist with this or will it hold her back and she'll just stay in nappies for the days she's there?

We have introduced it at key times. Before and after the bath, after morning bottle and bed time bottle when we would typically nappy change. We’ve had a few wees on the carpet 😅 we read one or two really short stories (which I close and stop reading once he gets up) when we’ve had the accidents on the carpet. We’ve got a peppa pig sticker chart from home bargains to help. He looked at it today before bed and said nooo 🤣 think he had just done a wee as his nappy was warm so missed it!

https://eric.org.uk/potty-training/ Some good information here, ERIC have lots of info on bladder and bowel things. Re nursery I know ours we have to take a potty in. The one my eldest went to they had some there, and took in lots of spare clothes and socks and shoes. Touch bases with the nursery and see what support they'll give her whilst she's there x

We have spent several months having nappy free time with a potty near by and most often now get to the potty/ toilet in time for wees. Poo on the other hand we are struggling with. She gets upset and avoids going until you put a nappy on and then she has a poo and needs changing straight away. Good luck I don’t there is a tight or wrong way to introduce it.
