Did your family react much less excited for your second pregnancy?

Feeling a bit disappointed by their underwhelming responses for something that's so exciting for us

We moved out of state so I had to tell my mom over the phone. She said "I didn't know you all were trying again" (my son was only 8 months old). We weren't trying but she was happy for us.

When I told people in person about my second pregnancy only 2 of those people actually said congratulations. Every baby is as equally important no matter if the 1st child or second and so on ❤️

I found that there was pretty much an equally excited reaction both times but I think I’m now pregnant with my 3rd (and final) and we’d been saying all throughout my second pregnancy that we’d maybe have a third but not for at least two years and it’s only been 4 months since my last so I’m expecting the reaction this time to be a lot more subdued and possibly negative 😅

My first pregnancy was at 16, so there was zero excitement for me then. My second is now, at 30, and they are super excited because they never thought I'd have another. 🤣

No I’m currently pregnant with my 3rd and they seemed less excited about the 3rd lol.

Unfortunately the first one is always the most exciting. They’ll get more excited as it gets closer to baby shower and birth.

Our families were just as excited but I don't think friends were. My work colleagues were but a lot of my friends were less interested
