Ovulation test & mucus

I had a clear blue positive on Tuesday but easy at home didn’t show peak. Today I’ve noticed ovulation mucus. Do you think it’s possible that I would stand a chance tomorrow evening to BD? I thought it’s a bit late to have ovulation mucus today if I reached peak on Tuesday … How soon after ovulation mucus does the egg normally get released?
