I had one, unexpected as I hoped to have a water birth but by time I went to hospital i was too far gone and they could only offer gas & air. It’s quite a blur to be honest but all went well. I had to have some minor stitching afterwards but staff were great throughout and after my labour. If you’ve any other questions message me and I’ll do my best to answer 🙂 x
I’ve had a water birth at Conquest, with gas & air, and it was the best experience ever. The water birth unit is amazing! I only have good memories.
I’ve had both my girls there, my second being born only 6 days ago and I can’t recommend the conquest maternity team more. They’re all so lovely (midwives and doctors) honestly you wish you could send them gift hampers after. Both virginal births, first with epidural which worked perfectly for me and second birth was planned epidural but ended up just gas and air because my daughter was eager to arrive 😂 they take super good care of you after as well and make sure everything is okay before they discharge you 👏🏼
I had my little boy there two weeks ago and although it was an extremely traumatic birth (not their fault at all, induction just wasn’t the path for me!) the staff were absolutely incredible. They are so encouraging and so approachable, and the midwives I had listened to me every step of the way and never once failed to communicate what was going on even during quite severe blood loss I experienced (again, nothing to do with what they did!) I could not fault them, I am grateful for the midwives and the doctors we had every single day that I look at my little boy. They are an incredible team :))

Had my little girl there in feb, a planned section but just wanted to say what others are saying - the staff are phenomenal!! I had an all female delivery team of 8 (4th section, GD, early delivery and sterilisation - needed a team of wonderwomen!) and it was amazing. The aftercare team also cannot be faulted, down to the lovely meal ladies who make sure you eat even if you’re too busy, distracted, tired x
I had my little girl in March the staff were amazing and so helpful I struggled the first night and they were happy to help me
