Diabetes

Wasn't expecting to be diagnosed with diabetes late in pregnancy I suppose it's hard to eat healthy in pregnancy I feel like it's my fault because I've got diabetes and it's confirmed that it has caused my baby to be big

Don’t be too hard on yourself. GD cannot be caused directly by consuming too much sugar/unhealthy food. In most cases it cannot be prevented only managed 💗

Your diet or anything you have done has absolutely nothing to do with GD so don’t worry. It’s caused solely from your placenta turning foods into sugar. Rest assured it’s nothing you have caused yourself. I have it and got diagnosed at 24 weeks, I’m being induced due to it next week when I’ll be 37 weeks as mine is getting out of control now no matter what I eat and the medication isn’t working so well now I’m further along. If you need any help with tips etc let me know I’ll be happy to help x

@Laura 🌻 they haven't said its GD all they have said is diabetes I must admit I do eat a lot of takeaways but it is hard they said they will refer me to a dietician x
