As above, they don’t really need entertaining. I baby wore most of the day and then went about my life.
Baby stretches to music! My son hated it the first two or so times and then loved it to the point of him being the only (and youngest) baby not crying on the plane. Hokey pokey doing cross body hand to foot stretches for left foot right hand helps both sides of brain and mobility. Booty for both leg circles in each direction helping hips. Head in for baby sit-ups for trunk support. Side in to help train for rolling over. If you’re happy and you know it.. clap your hands for learning to grasp and dexterity. Stomp your feet together for digestive help. Roll around other direction for hip mobility. Kiss your mommy and kiss their forehead for more baby sit-ups. The wheels on the bus go round and round in baby bicycles legs. Swish swish swish for more hip circles. doors on the bus open and close for more side to side..
They don’t need to be entertained, they just need to be talked to. It’s not like they are horribly awake all the time as well, newborns sleep a lot, they eat, and they need stimulation from you with talking. They also can’t see well at first

I don’t. We just look at eachother and I’ll talk to him while he’s awake, it’s only for a few minutes at a time. You can try newborn flash cards/toys, tummy time, bring a toy or rattle back and forth so their eyes can follow, singing or reading to them
