Depends on your situation
Depends entirely on your circumstances, as they look at the income of the whole home. Do an online benefit calculator to get an idea.
@Tamika up to 39 weeks
@Tamika it depends on your work because I had the opportunity to spilt it across the entire year xx
I already receive universal credit atm but now on the unpaid part of maternity leave due to go back late December
I understand you have to give eight weeks notice if wanting to go back to work earlier but unfortunately don’t have no child care. Also waiting on my flexible hours request to come through which can take up to three months anyways and work policy is you can’t use annual leave during maternity leave. It has to be before or after. Just can’t afford for my statement to be £0. Praying that uc can help at all
Yeah I’m taking the whole 52 weeks I’ll have 3 months unpaid and won’t be able to claim UC as partner earns too much. Child benefit will cover the small bills I have like phone bill petrol etc. I should be able to get some savings from not going to work as my travel is really expensive to work but won’t have to pay that! X
Hey! I’ve received universal credit since being on SMP, so they will, yes :)
