A little scared

This is my beautiful girl, Athena. If you noticed, one of her front teeth is darker than the rest. She had a little fall last week, fell on her tooth and it has been slowly changing to this color. I am all kinds of worried, especially if they have to remove it. Mom guilt is the worst. The poor kid already lost a fingernail after getting it caught in a door. Luckily it grew back. She has a dentist appointment today so we’ll find out what’s going on but she is super shy so wish me luck 🫣

She's adorable 😍 Try not to beat yourself up, kids fall and get hurt all the time. It's a baby tooth so she'll lose it anyway to make room for adult teeth.

The same thing happened to my brother when he was little, it was a damaged nerve in the baby tooth and stayed that way until he lost it and then the adult tooth that came through was perfectly fine! It didn’t cause him any pain or discomfort was just a ‘dead’ tooth! Hope your appointment goes well 🤞🏻

@Amy her dentist told us the same thing. Dead tooth. She’ll get a x ray when she’s older and we just have to make sure it doesn’t get infected. Thanks for sending this, it reassured me a lot!

My husband hit himself in the face with a toy fire truck when he was 3 and lost one of his front teeth until his new adult tooth came in around 5-6. Didn’t affect his grown up smile at all but it looks kinda cute in the little kid photos!
