Go on the pill/not?

Hi, I'm considering other contraceptive methods but have always had a fear of struggling to get pregnant if I went on the pill? I don't know where this fear has come from but just feel uneasy taking daily tablets to control my hormones and worry when I went to try again for baby number 3 will it lower my chances of getting pregnant? I'm nearly 37 and had to go through IVF to get pregntthe first time (after 4 years of trying). Can someone please advise me or reassure me based on your own experiences? Many thanks x

Everyone is different but having been on the pill for well over 10 years I got pregnant very quickly when I came off of it in my early 30s. Much quicker than I was expecting!

At 38 I got pregnant within a couple of months after being on the pill for 3 years. That did end up in a miscarriage but I was pregnant again within a couple of months and baby is due anytime now x

Every woman is different! I’m personally not a fan of the pill for many reasons, but I’m not one to condemn others for taking it! Like I’m considering going back on cause I want contraception lol. But I got pregnant a year after going off of it, after being told it would be really hard for me to conceive ever lol. And I was on it for 5 years straight

I’ve never heard of the pill causing issues getting pregnant after coming off of it. That sounds like the depo shot. Best wishes ❤️

Thank you all for your replies. I appreciate it.

It can depend on the person. I took the combined pill 11 years without breaks. We started trying in April 2023 and fell pregnant end of June. I wasn't even sure how quickly we would get pregnant as my husband only has one testicle

I had a pill I had to take daily and actually fell pregnant on the pill Everyone is definitely different
