I need advice

This school year has been horrible…my 5 year old has been acting up at school which he’s always done good in school but this year no he’s did a lot of outta character things …my 7 year old daughter is stealing money from us & stealing stuff from stores and from class mates and people on the bus she’s never done this before I’m not understanding what else to do I’ve tried everything something is not right it’s unusual for them to be behaving this way

Have you tried therapy for them yet? You are absolutely right in digging to the root cause of the issue.

@Heather that’s something I’m thinking about maybe it will help them in way because I honestly don’t know what else to do

Look into a functional behavior assessment. My eight year old is acting up in class also.

Has anything big or drastic happened as far as change for them. New school? New partner? Fight with family member?... have you found out if perhaps they are being bullied? My 10 year old when he was 5 started acting out of character at school.. it turned out he was being bullied by both teachers and students . I immediately withdrew him and placed in new school and he has flourished since

@Emily I’ve stayed with parents most his life this is his first year being at our own home for both kids and then I am pregnant so they been very anxious about seeing the baby

My daughter who is an adult now was being abused by my bf at the time (6yrs old) I would have never thought this could happen to me, but once I left him my bb was back to her self thank God I had family around that helped me and got involved…..
