TTC - first month fail

Hi guys, I've got a little boy - nearly 3 now. First time I got pregnant we "tried" for one month and I was pregnant 2 weeks later so was extremely easy. We had sex during ovulation from tracking my periods on the flo app and we were successful. Last month we decided it was time for baby number two... we have tried the same way we tried with our first baby and baby danced every day during ovulation but AF has arrived. I ideally want to do everything I can to conceive as fast as possible this time around as well, with someone who has ADHD the waiting and constant testing drives me insane but I know it might not be as easy this time around but want to do everything I possibly can to make it easier. I see people post with ovulation strips and testing temperature ect... where do I start with all this stuff and what do I need to buy, and what apps shall I use? I have no idea lol

Hiya. I’m in a similar situation. With my first one I’ve got pregnant on the third cycle (I was tracking ovulation), and currently TTC our second. I’ve got pregnant on the first cycle, but unfortunately it was an early miscarriage at 5+3 weeks. On the 1st cycle now after the loss. Anyways, just babbling… I use the Premom app. For period tracking I’ve always used Natural cycles, but for pregnancy tracking I found Premom to be the best (for me at least). It’s free to track ovulation and BBT, and they have their own brand of LH strips (and HCG as well), which you can buy from Amazon. 100 strips cost £25, so cheaper vs Clear blue for example. You should ideally start taking the tests 10 days prior your predicted ovulation. I used to do BBT, before my first pregnancy, for about 4-5 cycles, but it was waaaay too stressful so I stopped doing it. If you have regular cycles and period, that means you’re ovulating, so I don’t think it’s necessary to confirm with body temps.

LH strips will tell you when are your most fertile and peak days, and after a peak you’d ovulate in about 24-48 hrs. That, and looking out for cervical mucus changes will give you the best chance.

I use the easy at home Amazon strips and the Premom App. I test twice a day to catch my peak (12pm and 7pm) I also track my temp (BBT) every morning and that also syncs to the Premom app. Together it builds up a clear picture of your cycle. To be honest though I think the best thing you can do is to take care of yourself. Take vitamins, healthy diet and light exercise. Then regular sex every other day. My only advice is to not get too consumed in all the apps and information. It can be a dark rabbit hole that can create unnecessary stress. Please also remember it’s only around a 20% chance each cycle, so if it doesn’t happen, don’t worry as there’s nothing wrong ☺️ it may just take a little time. Best of luck 💕🤞
