We just had our baby christened and people got her a money box, rosary beads and silver box, a height marker to hang on the wall, books, cuddly toys. On the religious side of my family we received some holy water, a prayer from Lourdes, and a prayer book for children

If you have a custom in your country, then I think it would be really nice to incorporate it! Our culture does silver bracelets, which you can get engraved. Religious wise: a "my first Bible", children's cross, my first prayer book, rosary beads that come a small pram, picture frame or a beautiful personalised keepsake. Non religious wise: toys, teddies, clothes, money, keepsake (generally what can be given on their birthday also)
