First name change

Would you consider it too late to legally change my daughter’s first name? (who is 2 next month) it’s was her fathers choice who isn’t in her life, it’s a Muslim name but as she has nothing to do with him/his side of the family (they don’t even know she exists) I’ve been wanting to change it, but now she’s at the point where she obviously knows and says her own name so I feel like it would be too confusing from this point?

I don’t think it’s too late, start calling her the new name now. Maybe a new name similar to her original name, would make it easier for her to accept?

That’s such a great idea, would never of thought of that!💡

What’s her name now? If you don’t mind me asking

Aïcha, don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the name I’m just in that head space haha

What would you change it to?

How about a different spelling of the name

@Camilla that was the only part I had a say in 😂 I just think that the guy isn’t even on the birth certificate, wasn’t there for the birth and think I was just in a delulu state after giving birth by agreeing to it

I think they are young enough to be adaptable
