Childcare plans when returning to work

I'm sending mine to a childminder 2 x week and then my mum is helping on the other day. I'm actually heading into work today to discuss my return to work and anxiety is sky high! How quickly had this year gone already 😕 x

My mat leave ends mid November but I have nearly 5 weeks holiday to take so will return after Xmas x

I'm returning on Job Share so will be sending him to day care for 2 days and then either adding on an extra day or MIL will have him for a few hours if I'm on lates until my husband finishes work

I feel the same way. I’m going back in December too and for one month my LO will be with my partner one day me one day my sister one day and my mum two days until he starts nursery in January then he will be nursery two days me one day my sister one and my mum one. I totally get it and feel he’s going to be passed around everywhere for the first month before nursery but I have no other choice 😢 it makes me sad but I am grateful for all the help I have x

I don't go back until the week of my LG's first birthday, but she'll be in nursery 4 days and her Dad will have her 1 day on his own. Weekends we both have off.

We are still trying to work out what is going to work best for us. I'm not sure we can really afford to send our LG to nursery anymore than 2 days a week. I'm hoping my husband can set his days off (currently on a rolling rota so days off are different each week) and condense his 5 days into 4 and I'm planning to do the same meaning we should be around for the 3 days not in nursery 🥴 x

Our plan for next year: Nursery Mon & Tues, with me Wed, husbands mum Thurs and my mum Fri. We decided to group the nursery days so it’s less confusion, my day mid-week so I only have two days without her around that and weekends, and I think she’ll be so lucky to get a day with both nanas too 💜
