TTC ovulation tests

Hi all, Me and my partner are now actively TTC after a chemical pregnancy unfortunately. Just need some help understanding ovulation tests as we’ve never really used them. From the pic does it mean I’m in my fertile window now? I’ve never been sure using apps to be a reliable source. I know it doesn’t mean my surge is due very soon, but they’re near enough as dark as the control line! Any help appreciated :) Thank you ❤️

They're no where near as dark as they'll be when your LH is high or at peak, trust me when I say you'll look at it and know! I tend to take 2 a day, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon to make mychances higher at seeing my peak. I get my peak quickly so never want to miss it x

They're not as dark as the control line. These are really really faint so not near your fertile window yet. When your LH peak is coming you'll have that left hand line be either as dark as or even darker than the right hand line. Usually you ovulate about 2 weeks before your period, if you have normal cycles. This might help you pin down when you're expecting these strips to get darker so you can test more often

Thank you so much for both your comments 🥰 I’m just so confused by it all honestly! I use the Flo app and according to that and my cycles (36 days usually or as low as 32) I’m in my fertile window and will ovulate this coming Saturday but given your info and the tests I did today I assume this is wrong? What would you ladies make from the test today?

I'd say you could be in your fertile week and working toward a positive, it all depends on how fast you peak!

So just because your LH isn't currently high doesn't mean it won't be soon, some people have a really quick one, where it will go from this to DARK in a day or so, others have a more gradual rise. Keep testing twice a day, avoid FMU, and use the premom app to log them

It would make Sense because all the signs are there that I’m ovulating, I just couldn’t make out if these were strong enough to indicate If my peak is coming. We really want another bubba after a chemical pregnancy recently. These lines came up instantly and got slightly darker about 3-4 mins in… fingers crossed 🤞🏼 thank you so much for your help ❤️

@Charley this would be me lol. If mine was this color the next day would be my peak. To OP (original poster) you will learn your body 3 months into taking ovulation tests

I recommend using the Premom app - you can scan it in and it’ll tell you when you are near or at your peak x

I would go by the strips to know when your ovulating, the app is not as accurate. Once you get your peak you will likely ovulate in 12-36 hours and your egg can last up to 12-24 hours. Premom app is good for recording your results and seeing your peak. Keep testing until your LH goes down and stays down. Feel free to msg ☺️
