It could be either really. Only a doctor will really be able to say. Does baby have spots elsewhere on the body? When my daughter first had HFM it was a few spots on her face and the fever/illness side was around 2 weeks before the spots appeared
My Lo has just had hand foot and mouth, it looked like this, check for other symptoms. If it is that wash your hands regularly I now have it and it’s awful 😫
Take him to your GP or call 111, only a doctor is going to be able to correctly examine them and give diagnosis x

My daughter had similiar do this but she’s 2 but looks very similiar and she had inpertigo x
Being at nursery they catch all sorts I wouldn’t say it’s hand foot and mouth looks slightly different but could be wrong x
That’s H F & M you can even see the sores on his tongue too in this picture, I would be surprised if it’s spread by now. Hope theyre ok! It looked like my sons! Lots of cold foods will sooth!
Does baby have any other symptoms like fever, feeling sick anything like that? I believe foot and mouth come with these symptoms
