Weighed at midwife appointment

I've just been weighed at my 35 week midwife appointment and it's freaking me out. She said my bmi was over 30 and that I might be offered blood thinners. I don't understand why she's done my bmi in the first place surely it's going to be high I'm pregnant and swollen? I feel that she's scared me when there's no actual problem.

My midwife said I'd put on loads of weight and have diabetes and I desperately needed to do the glucose test.... my next appointment she didn't mention it again and I still haven't been offered the test

That makes no sense!! Almost all pregnant women will go to a higher bmi?? Weird

Definitely shouldn’t have happened past the initial weighing a few weeks into the pregnancy to get a baseline of where your weight is. A higher bmi generally calls for the glucose test and a few more appointments, definitely nothing to worry about, but if they insist on weighing you more than just once at the beginning it’s definitely strange.
