Midwife appointments

I'm 13 weeks and already had my booking app , 12 week scan , phone call of my consultant I'm high risk and had My 20 week scan app come through and my 16 week come through if you've not had anything else I'd definitely get in touch with your midwife as you should have another midwife app around 16 weeks xx

Yeah we get less. Booking apt 12 week scan 16 week apt 20 week scan Then 28, 34, 36, 38, 41 I think

You get less with second pregnancy, They say there is approx 10 appointments with first baby and seven with second baby. You should be having a 16 week follow up appointment with your midwife now.

Yep, seen midwife for booking and had 12 week scan. Midwife booked for 16 weeks. I have a consultant app. booked for 20 weeks. Told I'll have extra scans due to bmi and now I've been told I have a low PAPPA-A, high risk here. Originally just for BMI but now for the low PAPPA-A too xx

for second babies you have 8 midwife + 3 scans (unless you qre high risk) 1-booking 2-16/20 weeks 3-28 weeks 4-34 week 5-36 week 6-38 week 7-40 week 8-41 week

Yes I’ve had my 12 week scan & I have other appts booked in & have had another one with a consultant. I’ve been told I won’t need a 16 week midwife appt. I have a glucose test in the morning so wondering if that’ll have the checks like I would have at 16 weeks. To be honest I’ve asked to change my midwife as I’ve had no contact from her as I had another midwife do my booking.

I'd not even realised we have less until reading this and checking my notes but those who have detailed the weeks you have them are correct 😅 my next one is a few days after I turn 16 weeks x

i requested elective c section , so they booked an additional consultant appointment on 27 weeks. to sort elective details

I’m on my 2nd and get the same ones as before - 8 weeks midwife, 12 weeks scan and then 16 weeks midwife again. They said I would get an extra scan about 34 weeks as previous section.

It’s interesting to see what people are getting. I don’t have my birth options phone call until next week as I had a previous C-section too. I hope all goes well for everyone

I am 16 weeks and 2 days with my second. I've not heard about having less, but I suppose it varies from person to person. I am considered high risk and so I have appointments every 3 weeks which is such a pain in the ass. If you haven't had your 16 week appointment though I'd make a call about that as I'm sure that's standard

@Mia 🌼 I asked today at my glucose test & they enquired with the community midwives. I don’t feel like I need one as such but Ive seen some people have & haven’t had one but I also just think it would be nice to know who my midwife is 🙈
