Readings

Anyone else get completely different readings even if you test straight after testing? If I get a high reading, I often test again just to make sure they are accurate and they are always completely different! I had one come up 8.7 and I tested within a minute and it was 7.7!

Yehhhh it’s a mind field 😅

@Laura I’m struggling with understanding how they can be accurate results when they are all over the place? I have my first meeting with the consultant tomorrow and I am incredibly nervous about what they are going to say

@Shannon sometimes it can be you have something on your hand that it reads. So I always wash again and test again when it’s really high! I think if you had like 3/4 days where it was coming up high that’s when they would be questioning why x

@Laura okay that reassures me a bit! thank you

A few days ago I had a similar thing, reading came up as 7.7 and retested straight away, just tested the second drop of blood and it was 3.1!!! If my first reading is slightly high I can guarantee my second will be a minimum of 0.3 lower but I was in complete shock at how much error was in that result.

@Kaylee wow! That’s crazy!!

I just had this happen to me. I was 8.6 and then washed my hands tested another finger and was 7.6, so I wouldn’t know which one to take as my reading 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️

It's weird. I've had this so many times. I forgot to wash my hands one time after making my daughters breakfast and my sugars were 7.9 Washed them as I realised and tested the same finger after washing to get 5.7🙃

Since this, I have found my right hand is always higher than my left! So I am avoiding testing on my right hand now!
