As we all know, every babe is different. My son is speaking in sentences and clearly says hundreds of words. If you say it, he knows it. But I think he is definitely not the norm. We just finished early intervention for food related things but it's such a great program. Every state has it. They will come to your home and do a fun evaluation and see where your little one is on all the areas. And if they feel there is a delay they provide services until babe is 3. All free. I am not saying at all there is need for concern here I have no idea what's normal but I feel it's never too early to just have them check and see what's what 🤷 then you know and don't need to worry 😁 let me know if you need help finding info for your state.
2-3 word phrases also gibberish sometimes . Haven’t started potty training . I tried for one day and decided to start in November maybe ? Numbers 1-10 Colors shapes He knows maybe 80 words ?? Haven’t counted. Knows some body parts and animals Sometimes they just need time i would wait it out . Some kids develop in some areas faster than others
We have about 80 words including some numbers, colors, and animals/animal sounds. Words he’s known the longest are said the most clearly, but most other words are still half words or attempts at whole words. Took us a good few minutes yesterday to realize he was saying “Outside!?” to go outside cause it sounded like “oht shed”. He has a few 2-3 words phrases that he says but not really putting too many words together yet. Potty training we’re not even considering, I don’t find it necessary because our little one isn’t even remotely aware of his bowels and bladder yet so starting training would just be a headache for all involved. I believe in fully child led toilet training when he shows all signs of being developmentally ready which at this point I believe will be closer to 3.
