Potty training?
Anyone starting potty training for their babygirl? How is it going and what sign were they showing? Any book recommendation? I’m a first time mama and have no clue lol
My LG is starting to say peepee after she pees in her diaper, maybe 20% of the time so she’s not all there yet. And sometimes she’ll say peepee when she doesn’t want to sleep because she knows that I’ll take her out of her bed.

I just started reading the “Oh Crap!” book and its been so helpful so far! They recommend starting between 20-24 months and once you start, fully commit and don’t casually do potty sometimes and diaper sometimes. It also said there’s no point in bringing the potty out to get them used to it, which I’ve already done so woops 🙈 but we’ll try it in January I think!

We just started EC (elimination communication) since about 13 months. And not strictly just for poops. Now she is saying “pee pee” when she wants to sit on the potty. This usually means she has to poop 🤣 it doesn’t work every time. For example, sometimes she starts grunting/doesn’t tell me and I say “you need to go potty?” And usually she nods yes so we go to the toilet and she sits and tries there for a while. This is what I did when I say she was gonna poop- I’d go sit her on the toddler potty and give her a small book to hold and “read” to make it so she wouldn’t just get up lol
