Feeling let down by the hospital

My baby has been breech the whole time, and we’ve known this. They’ve got me in for the turning at 38 weeks + 5 days…so late! I’ve heard other women have had this issue but I’m just so sad. There’s a much higher chance of success the earlier it’s done (I’m 37 weeks now) and it was supposed to be done before my next midwife appointment so we could decide c-section or not, but it’ll be too late! I’m so lost and upset about it.

Have you tried anything at home to help get baby to turn? It’s really not too late! There’s spinning babies on YouTube that I know has helped a lot of mums in turning their babies. And there’s also exercises/yoga poses you can try too. Sorry if you’ve tried these already. And I’m sorry you’re feeling let down by your hospital, they really do suck at times ❤️

@Sharnee I’ve been trying those since about 34 weeks but she is just so stubborn! I even tried like playing music at the bottom of my bump and placing a warm towel at the bottom and a cool one at the top, i know these aren’t scientifically proven or anything I just thought it was better than giving up!

Definitely better to try ❤️ I’ll keep my fingers crossed miss stubborn turns for you xx My drs missed that my LB was sunny side up 🙃 and it was too late to turn him around to face the right way

@Sharnee thank you!! I’m sorry they missed it!!

Get a cold bottle of water and put it on your abdomen where babys head is and leave it there. Throughout my pregnancy my baby was always head down maybe it's because I drunk alot of cold water.. she would turn up once a week for a few hours (i know this cos when she was heads up, my heart was beating really weirdly) then switch back to head being down again..

My son was breech for most of my pregnancy, when I went into be induced at 41+5 he was lying sideways the midwife said they would leave me as they don’t try and turn them any more because they could just turn back and it would be a waste. By the next day he was head down but I was booked in for a C/S and they didn’t check me before I went down. Many years ago they tried turning my niece and my sister said it hurt while they were trying and it didn’t work anyway. Baby still has time to move they move right up until birth

@Fina I’ve tried this, I drink a ton of cold water and tried that trick a bunch of times but she just won’t budge

I had an ECV at 37 weeks and I’m fairly certain it triggered my waters to break. The doctors said this wasn’t a possibility but within 24 hours of the ECV my waters broke. I had a c section about 18 hours after my water broke and hadn’t had any contractions. Plus the ECV didn’t work - hence the c section. Just letting you know to be ready for the baby to come if you have an ECV! I can’t prove that’s what caused it but I’m fairly certain it was, and we had issues with my little one having low birth weight and he was quite ill - I wish he’d had those extra 3 weeks to cook!
