Copper coil. Highly recommend it. It will make period slightly heavier and possibly a bit more painful. However, I personally find this is better for me than the effect of hormones.
I've had the copper coil fitted a few months ago. No problems except its made by periods heavier but not any more painful. You can book an appointment like a few weeks after having it fitted to check it hasn't moved and they will show you how to check yourself, I didn't bother though as all seemed well. They did say if it's going to move it'll be in the first few weeks, hence the optional check up x
I got the coil fitted and I wouldn’t recommend, I’m considering getting it removed. I had bleeding on and off for 3months now that’s settled. When I have my period, I have more cramps than pre pregnancy and I have very low mood and intrusive thoughts making it difficult to sleep. I’m trying to monitor as I feel hormones are all over the place and don’t know if it’s still post pregnancy related, sleep deprivation (even though I think I’m getting good amount these days) anxiety about returning to work. I always seem to make an excuse but it could be the coil 🤷♀️

Ive had the coil fitted three times with no issues at all. I had the. Copper one fitted twice but that does cause very heavy periods and now have the hormonal one. Both have been great and have not had any issues. I think it's a fitting problem that results in issues.
