Parental benefits
When I found out I was pregnant I applied right away for maternity benefits and parental benefits at the same time. I know on the service Canada website that if you already served the waiting period for maternity benefits then you don’t have to serve one for when parental benefits. My question is if I applied for both at the same time and was approved, does parental benefits automatically start after baby is born?

Didn’t end up getting it until July and gave birth in September, so I believe I was 30-34 weeks pregnant when I got it
Once you use the max weeks. It'll change over yes.
Parental benefit start straight after your used up the maternity benefit.
