Would you let your young children play with other children who are actively living in a homeless shelter?

Might sound like a stupid question but how concerned should I be with letting my children play with other children that live in a homeless shelter? They are their cousins who they've never met before but are now coming into their life. I'm asking because every time we have a doctors appointment we are always asked if we spend time with homeless people or people who live in shelters.

I don't think I'd have an issue with that but I've never been asked that at any doctor's appointment in my child's life. Did you ask your doctor why they are asking that? I would ask them what is prompting that question because that's super strange to me.

That’s odd, idk why you’d be asked that at the doctors. I’ve never been asked anything like this… I’d say as long as you aren’t seeing any behavioral changes with your own children or any thing alarming then I don’t see why it would be an issue. Homeless or not they are children and I’m sure they just want to play. But also be aware of the things those children could potentially be exposed to

I have never been asked that and I have had my share of drs appt with a 9 year old with autism and a toddler.
