I was on it for 7 years and couldn’t gain weight if I tried and i’ve always had occasional migraines but I wouldn’t say the injection affected them. I’m back on it now after having baby and i’ve been gradually losing the weight I gained during pregnancy so far
I was 135lbs and in 3 months I went to 265lbs and constant migraines and a ton of other issues..same with my sister in-law..if you have weight issues already I would stay away but otherwise you won’t know till you try it
No headaches here but definitely weight gain
I gained like 30 pounds on the depo😭 never again
my OB told me it would make me gain weight. I got an IUD
@Lauryne you are not supposed to be on the depo shot for longer than a year! I was on it for 3 years before my doctor read the fine print!!
I gained weight like crazy. I went from 150 to 280 in a matter of months. And when I got off of it, it was hard to lose the weight
I gained 60 pounds in a year and it took me 3 years for my hormones to regulate after

I got super sick after my wedding and was hospitalized and I was on iv for a whole month. That’s how I lost it.
I've never heard of this but have seen it make some women infertile
Personally it made me gain so much weight before I had my daughter I was at 160 and then over two years of the shot I was at 215! I was chunky and it made me aggressive and mean toward everyone with all the hormones so I stopped getting the shot, Had my daughter and now I have a copper iud which I love.
I think it's the depends on the person one person could have that experience and other could be able to handle it
