What’s everyone most excited for after birth? 🥹

Other than the obvious, seeing baby girl… I’m so excited to be able to sleep on my stomach again!!! 🥲

Excited for the acid reflex to go 🙌😂

@Rhiannon omg hallelujah 😂😂 I second this as well!

Walking to the shop again

Am I terrible for saying being able to have a glass of sauvy blanc again? 😅 that and smoked salmon, sushi and pate 😋 bring on November! Very happy to have had to abstain for 9 months of course xx

I’ve got GD so being able to eat whatever I want 😂. I’ll be taking chocolate to the hospital for sure!

I just can’t wait to put my shoes on without help and walk my dogs without feeling like my pelvis has shattered 😭

Hopefully the end of pelvic girdle pain and being able to eat pate and cured meats again!

@Emily there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!! I can’t wait for a glass of Prosecco 🥲

@Georgia oh bless you!! Take as much as you are able to carry! Priorities 😂

@Georgie omg yes!!! I’m on my feet all day at work so completely feel your pain!

@Marlies pate just in time for the Christmas specials 🤤

Leaving behind at least some anxiety…. The anxiety being placed more outside of myself… if you know what I mean? I fully expect I’ll still feel anxious (and maybe even more so, but it’s a little more separate from me somehow…) I also want to not worry about what I eat and drink so much. I looking forward to sleeping on my back, I’m looking forward to an occasional glass of wine… I’m looking forward to maybe being a bit happier…

For me it’s sleeping on my back again! Can’t wait!

@Rachel I said to my husband just this morning that the first sleep I have on my back is going to be euphoric 😂😂

A glass of wine in a boiling hot bath😩

@Zoe my back hurts constantly and lying on it helps! The suffering is real!

I have recently found out I have GD, so eating and drinking whatever I want! Sleeping on my back. Being able to put my socks and shoes on without assistance. Being able to pick things off the floor easily (just ordered a litter picker to help!)

God I’m so excited to be able to bend down and not feel like I’m lifting a ton of bricks getting back up!! X

@Gemma I feel every word of that. Anxiety and pregnancy is no joke, I completely understand 💕

I’m loving this thread. I don’t feel so alone in wanting to ”me” back!!

White wine, prosecco, camebert, cold meats grazing board, pate and sleeping comfortably again 😅 It's exciting all of the Christmas treats will be in the shops 😁

I also wanna get those tops back on ;)

Eating lots of cheese & red wine at Christmas time! 🫕 🍷 🧀

Blue wkd with loads of ice & goats cheese and crackers

I’m looking forward to sleeping on my back and on my belly, eating pineapples too. Also looking forward to walking with pelvic pains

Being able to look at my baby and see them breathe rather than wait for kicks/movement to know they're okay

Laying on my stomach, walking up the stairs, being able to lift and carry more than a 2L bottle without feeling the pressure, saying bye bye to acid reflux, the list goes on 🤣🤣🤣

Sleeping on my back and eating my body weight in Somerset Brie with a cold glass of Prosecco 😭

I rarely sleep on my stomach but I have a reoccurring shoulder injury and when it flares up sleeping on my front is the most comfortable position. I'm on my 3rd flare of the pregnancy. It is not fun trying to get to sleep on my side as it makes the shoulder worse.

SUSHI 😋

@Ella just jumping in here to say pineapples are perfectly safe :) you’d have to eat around 8-10 whole pineapple for there to be any risk so if it’s what you’re fancying, then have some 😀

@Anita the gd and eating. I keep sending my sister in law pictures of all the things I can't wait to eat. Today's one being something that hasn't been sold in months which is disappointing as I want one so bad. I can still do shoes and socks but I sat on the floor this morning to sort washing and I was home alone and regretted it as getting back up was a challenge

@Jessica omg, I can’t wait to eat all the Christmas treats as soon as I’ve had baby! Also, I’m going to treat myself on my birthday next month and go out for a nice steak dinner and have a pudding and everything - and just not test that evening 🤣 we deserve the odd cheat day. I feel like my whole life now revolves around GD and it’s sucking all the joy out of my pregnancy!

@Anita I can eat a good steak dinner with chips without a spike. I haven't dared have a desert. Which is brutal as one of the first symptoms I had was an aversion to chocolate and cake and just as I was starting to be able to eat it again GD kicks in and now I darent try any. Baby is already on the big side so I try to avoid treat days, but on my baby shower I did have a small slice of cake and it didn't spike my sugars (I guess because I had eaten a ton of chicken and veg sticks before hand)
