Almost 9 month old activities

My mom has just gone on vacation and she usually helps me out majority of the time with my almost 9 month old. I’m still struggling with motherhood and just wondering what to do with a 9 month old throughout the day besides feeding, napping etc. He plays with toys and stuff but he tends to get bored easily. We go outside on walks but he also likes to fall asleep which sometimes ruins the napping schedule. Any tips?
