Teething pain relief

Anyone know if calpol or nurofen is most effective for teething pains? Waking up as soon as his calpol wears off, bless him. 2 juicy molars coming through at the same time. Never really had to use nurofen previously

I always found neurofen to be much more effective that calpol x

We found Neurofen massively better for teething x

We tag team them if it’s really bad. We do Calpol then 2 hours later Nurofen etc. Do you use Anbesol teething liquid? That stuff works wonders for relief, but rub it on his gums but also on the dummy.

Ibuprofen based is usually more effective as its the swelling that makes it the most painful for LO (calprofen or neurofen). It can be doubled up with paracetamol if needed and Anbesol liquid our saviour at meal times (basically directly numbs the gums for a little bit and works pretty much isntantly).

I alternated calpol and neurofen but only at night as his teeth didnt bother him nearly as much during the day. So id put him to bed with one of the two and if he woke up I'd give him a dose of the other. Also used Ashton teething powders, not sure if they worked by i think they did help him settle back to sleep. Teething has been horrendous this time round. Dont remember my first being that bothered but her teeth came in much later

Thanks all. Nurofen didn’t help him sleep longer unfortunately, still woke in pain. We have anbesol but it won’t let me put it on 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
