Amniocentesis
Hi all can you guys please share your experience if you had amniocentesis test done? It will be really helpful i have to get one done next week. So im anxious.

Why did they send you to take that test?
Me and my husband has the same blood disorder thalessimea minorso we have to see if the baby is not carrying the major trait.
I had this procedure at 15 weeks, the only thing you will feel is pressure but if you just try and not focus on the needles and keep breathing in and out. You should be fine, honestly I was almost 💩 myself, but the nurse really helped me maintain my breathing. Also make sure you rest the next couple days as you’ll have a bit of discomfort but it goes away.. Goodluck🤍

I had an amniocentesis at 17 weeks pregnant last year. It was slightly uncomfortable but I found the pain bearable. It’s easier said than done but the more relaxed you can be, the easier it is. Just try to focus on your breathing as the needle is going in. The whole procedure didn’t take very long and luckily I didn’t have any bleeding or cramps afterwards. Hope it goes well ❤️
