Christmas

I know it’s slightly early but trying to plan ahead how many gifts are we getting for our babies? They’ll be 7/8 months old so I’m just not sure how much to get we’ve already got a few in but not sure how much to spend I know they won’t remember it but I still want it to be special

We put money in an account for my eldest. Family got him sooo many presents so we didn't feel we had to. I think we got him a baby doll as I knew I was pregnant with this baby last Xmas.

We quite like the rule of 4 in our house, which should stop us getting too carried away, especially as I know family will go mad with gifts for him. 1. Something they want 2. Something they need 3. Something to wear 4. Something to read Fully expecting him to be more interested in the wrapping paper and boxes than anything we give him 😆

I was just going to get things that I would of bought her anyway , a few clothes , bouncer maybe, bath toys and a few toys for her age , I have a 6 year old too and he’s excited for her to get presents as much as he his for himself so wanted a few bits for him to help her open aswell ! X

Planning on doing the rule of four as Ellie mentioned above but currently only thinking of a nice sweatshirt and a jellycat plush

@Ellie I’ve never heard of this but it sounds such a good idea

Well just be getting him stuff for his stocking, which will be pyjamas, a sensory toy & a book! We’ll also be buying him a cute new outfit to wear for Christmas Day! Personally feel like he doesn’t need that much, and anyone that asks us what can they get him we’re just going to say clothes :) the only big thing we’re getting is a activity walker from his grandparents so we’ve got it ready for when he starts showing interest in walking!

A baby that age will be more fascinated with the wrapping paper and the lights on the Christmas tree. I believe my first git just acouple of toys and then really it was all about the sensory experience of Christmas.
